The forecast looked so promising, but as usual, clouds rolled in. Decided to just stay home and bring the dob out into the backyard tonight.
Our big Maple Tree in the yard fell in the ice storm last week. It was bittersweet as I loved that tree, but it was dying already and needed to come out. Plus, now I have a bigger view of the sky! Silver linings I guess.
I pointed my skywatcher 8″ dobsonian at the moon and got about 20 minutes before the clouds took over. Better than nothing I suppose! Pictures taken with Samsung 20 Ultra
